SUGBO MERCADO OPENS CEBU’S DOORS TO A NEW INDUSTRY

A new opportunity awaits Cebuano entrepreneurs who wish to enter and become active front-runners in the business world. Sugbo Mercado, Cebu’s first ever weekend food market, joins start-up food business ventures in one open space, creating an industry new to Cebuanos.

“Ever since Fun Seafood Corner joined Sugbo Mercado, we’ve had a lot of people coming in who are curious about our product and proceeded to trying it for themselves,” says Blaise Jaban from Fun Seafood Corner. “Our enterprise gained loyal customers who really look forward to coming every weekend. Sugbo Mercado opened our doors to a new beginning. From giving the opportunity to sell products to a wide variety of people to acquainting business owners and exchanging experiences and ideas, Sugbo Mercado has a lot to offer for entrepreneurs like me. It doesn't stop in feeding tummies – it also feeds the minds of business-minded people,” she added.

Sugbo Mercado promotes individual brand identity by housing various flavors that originate from different places in the Philippines and the world. Different tastes ranging from Spanish to Mexican, Cebuano, Tausug, and more come together under one roof, providing Cebuanos an experience of local and international cuisine while standing still.

Aside from the palate feast Sugbo Mercado offers, loyal customers are also serenaded by Cebu’s up and coming artists making each night a memorable experience.

Sugbo Mercado is located at Garden Bloc, IT Park, Lahug, and Cebu Business Park, just right across CIC Main Campus.

Sugbo Mercado Cebu Business Park is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3 pm to 12 midnight, while Sugbo Mercado Garden Bloc, IT Park is open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 5 pm to 1 am.

We’re still reeling from all the food and festivities from our first anniversary in September and we’re still at it. Time does really fly by so fast when you’re having fun. And food, of course! Our anniversary month was marked by individual vendor promos on top of our own.  From free drinks to price-offs, treats were flowing from our grateful vendors to our eager customers.
